I believe that any future release of a 2LD (such as e.g. plumber.au), that the registrant of the 3LD (plumber.com.au - for example) be given first right of refusal to purchase the proposed 2LD. Many of us who were lucky enough to secure "premium" 3LD generic domain names have supported Internet infrastructure & built up business models with successful websites attached to that 3LD domain name. I feel that the release of a similar 2LD domain name would undermine & severely disadvantage the revenue model of these businesses, who in some cases, have paid & invested substantial amounts of money in their 3LD businesses. I further believe that this would be the fairest way to introduce any new 2LD, if that were to occur, which may affect any 3LD business model? Regards Mike Doroshenko URL Media & Marketing PLEASE NOTE: I am in no way affiliated or associated with the Registrant of the above example plumber.com.au, this 3LD was used as an example only.
