From: Ian Sent: Thursday, 14 June 2007 5:44 PM To: jo.lim@auda.org.au Subject: au tld dom space Hi Jo Lim, Ian Strawbridge from Webmaker In regards to the au policy framework review, we are in favour of the au TLD being made available, providing existing trademark holders are given ample opportunity to register their domain name. eg webmaker.com.au should be able to register webmaker.au as we have the 3LD and a trademark on the word webmaker as well. It should be at the same cost structure of the existing au 3LD registrations. We are not in favour of the 3LD being "dismantled" the TLD and 3LD should be able to co-exist (for example the same as China doms - domname.cn TLD can be registered in addition to the 3LD - domname.com.cn ) Thankyou for your time, Ian Strawbridge Webmaker (Australia)
