In relation to the proposed changes to the .au namespace I have the following comments to make:

  1.. The 2nd level name space should not be changed as it compromises the intellectual property
 of hundreds of thousands of businesses 
  2.. .au Names should be more transferable and at a much reduced price. I have several domains 
registered under an old ABN and I don't understand why I should have to jump through so many 
hoops to get them into a company name. The same goes for names I register on behalf of clients. 
The $80 charge plus re-registration is very steep.
